To be considered for an internship position, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student, or have graduated within the last year.
ALL INTERNSHIPS ARE LOCATED AT HRC HEADQUARTERS IN WASHINGTON, DC
In addition to basic questions about your availability and program area interests, we require you to submit a cover letter, resume and 2-5 page writing sample.
You will not be able to save or return to your application once you begin filling it out, so please prepare a cover letter that answers the following questions in advance:
1) Why do you want to intern at HRC?
2) Why do you think you would be a good fit with the organization?
3) What, aside from general work experience, do you hope to gain from an internship at HRC?
4) How would an internship with HRC help you meet your educational or career goals?
Also, a small number of housing scholarships will be available. If interested, you will want to have information handy about your FAFSA student aid report, confirmation that you are eligible to receive a Pell Grant or other federal funding, or proof of significant university or federal loans.
